Japan Gyokuro Asahi leaf tea 60g

A Japanese rarity that roughly translates to "gem dip".

About two weeks before harvesting, the tea bushes are covered with a bamboo mat. A tea bush growing in the shade develops less tannin and has a clearly higher than normal caffeine content. From the outside, the leaves are very dark green and slightly shiny.

In Japan, Gyokuro is served especially to guests of honor. It has an elegant, subtle, slightly sweet but strong taste.
