Matcha is a green tea that has been ground into a fine powder during a unique production process. Harvesting begins in May and only the freshest, softest leaves are collected by hand. The collected leaves are immediately taken to the tea farm, where they are steamed to avoid fermentation. After steaming, the leaves are dried and cooled.

The dried end product Aracha tea is cut into small parts. The branches and stems are removed and the leaves are dried again to make Tencha tea. Finally, Tencha is ground with stone mills into a fine Matcha powder.

High-quality Riku-Matcha is also great for baking , ice cream and trendy drinks such as Matcha Latte, as well as for cooking.
